We've spent the last couple of days ski touring in the Cairngorms. Conditions have been stunning and it was all going well until I ripped a binding clean out of the ski! Post-holing back down the slope we'd climbed while everyone else skied past me is not my idea of fun but I guess it was good training. Conditions were almost Alpine and there were plenty of folk out putting tracks in virgin powder.
A word of caution if you're down in the trees - There's plenty of branches coming down with no warning due to the weight of the snow.
