We made a relatively early start for the walk in to Steall Falls (III) at the far end of Glen Nevis. This low level 120m waterfall saw plenty of action during the cold spell at the beginning of the year but I didn't manage to get on it. There were reports of 50 plus climbers on it over the weekend and we arrived to find 3 other teams ahead of us carefully picking there way up a very wet looking falls. However by the time we had made a quick ascent there were 40 plus climbers all over the climb. The easy descent follows a good path on the true right bank of the falls after a short 20m abseil. It felt easy for grade III and the ice was very wet in places but it was great to get on it and be back in Fort William in time for lunch.
