Cumbrian Way Run - Day 2...

Early morning light on the Langdale Pikes

After a clear and cold night there was a slight frost in Langdale. The sun was out but a chilly northerly wind was keeping the temperature down. A quick trot up Langdale was rewarded by coffee and sausage & egg butties at the Sticklebarn Pub. We made good progress up on to Stake Pass but a foot injury soon slowed me down and it was a painful hobble down through Langstrath to Rosthwaite where we called it a day.

Inquisitive Herdwick lamb!
