Everest's 2nd Step found in Glencoe
I've now done the classic Curved Ridge on Buachaille Etive Mor twice this season and both times it's been under blue skies and in perfect conditions. We were stepping up the challenge for Heather & Andrew for their final preparations for the North Ridge of Everest. The icy in the gully on the approach was still there, sounding a bit hollow, but it gave a challenging start to the ridge. We kept to the crest to maximise the difficulty. We topped out to great views across Rannoch Mor and down Glencoe. Today I was working for Adventure Peaks. Over the last couple of days there has also been teams on Crowberry Gully (Central Finish) and North Buttress.
The core Adventure Peaks instructor team are now sporting new waterproofs courtesy of the French mountaineering company Millet. We'll be using the K Evo GJ Jacket & Trousers to protect us from the worst the Scottish weather can throw at us.
